Kris Gage thanks for this insightful article!! I agree with 90% but the most-highlighted quote struck me as odd:

“I’ll miss the days when I didn’t have to think up a stupid excuse to dodge the haphazard invite to the lame outing I don’t wanna be a part of.”

I so much feel you!! But what’s holding you back from saying no without any excuse? Shouldn’t we all be striving for honesty in our conversations?

What’s wrong with an answer like: “No, I just don’t feel like it today.”?
