Hi Julie Adler, I can totally relate to what you’re saying. When I first saw a person scribbling into a newly purchased book, I tried to stop him.

I guess it depends on your reading intention whether you should get over this. If you’re reading for decorating your interior with beautiful, untouched books, you should probably not take a pen to your hand.

But, if you want to remember what you read it’ll make sense to write while you read. And in case you want to have clean books AND learn something, post-it note or a notebook can help :)
