Great idea! Some work around is the combination of readwise and notion - readwise syncs all medium highlights to my notion "resonance board". There, I tag the highlights and move them to related projects (e.g. planned articles, podcast ideas, etc).

But I'd prefer your suggestion of "private tags" within Medium even more. Thanks for sharing!
